Hello again wrestling fans! I hope everyone has been doing well since the last time we met up. Let’s get right to a review of two of the main events of Saturday’s SummerSlam PLE!

“Victory happens when ten thousand hours of training meets one moment of opportunity.” – Unknown

59,194 fans descended on the Motor City to witness these two matches specifically of the Biggest Event Of The Summer for WWE. Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar III took place! Each competitor looked very determined before even locking up. They wasted no time locking up & a fight began! Within very little time, a pretty intense beatdown by Lesnar to Rhodes took place. Lesnar’s power was on full display as he manhandled Rhodes with T-Bones and German suplexes! Rhodes refused to stay down. Cody at one point even locked in Lesnar’s very own, Kimura Lock in on Brock’s arm. Brock refused to tap and used his sheer power to break out of the painful situation.

Cody hit a few springboard kicks and several high risk Cody Cutters!! Cody eventually hit 3 Cross Rhodes on Brock to gain the all important victory in their huge Rubber match!! After the match, Brock Lesnar approached Cody face to face, gave a little headbutt to seemingly in solidarity and in a show of respect shook Cody’s hand and hugged Cody!! The fans went wild as Brock Lesnar gave his stamp of approval to Cody Rhodes!

The last match of the evening was for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the Tribal Combat battle between the Champ, Roman Reigns and his cousin, Jey Uso. Uso and Reigns each took turns getting one up on each other but after a pretty good beatdown by Reigns, Jey rallied back to have Reigns on the ropes. At one point, Reigns was assisted by Solo Sikoa as Paul Heyman watched from Reigns’ corner. Jey battled both Reigns and Solo. After incapacitating Solo, Uso focused again on Roman. Having hit multiple superkicks and a huge Splash from the top rope, Uso seemingly had Reigns pinned. Just before the referee could count three, a person dressed in black and a mask pulled Jey off of Reigns. The person revealed them to be the other half of the Usos, Jey’s twin brother, Jimmy Uso!!! Jey looked on in utter disbelief as Jimmy blasted his twin brother with a superkick which ultimately led to Reigns successfully defending his title. Roman continues his reign as the Tribal Chief as well as his record breaking modern day era run as Champion! Well into over a 1,000 days as Champion, Roman continues his stay atop the mountain of WWE!

What’s next for Jey after this heartbreaking loss because of his very own twin brother and an even more important question, WHY, Jimmy, Why?

This week’s fallout of SummerSlam is must see television IMO
