Hi again, wrestling fans! It was a fun and memorable weekend in Lombard, IL this past Saturday for POWW Entertainment’s WRESTLERAGE 20! Honored to have been a part of my third Rage event. The fans were wild ; so was the action.

Live your best day everyday so you have a bitchin' pocket to ride tomorrow.

Let’s rewind back 34 years to Muskegon, MI at the then named, LC Walker Arena. The exact date was Sunday July 17, 1988. Junkyard Dog vs. “Outlaw” Ron Bass was the main event. The JYD beat the nasty Bass.

I remember first walking through the lobby area and into the main arena. First seeing that Wedgwood Blue ring mat and those beautiful patriotic ring ropes! The old school WWF block logo prominently displayed many times by the ring as well as near the entrance way. My Dad took myself and my childhood buddy Brian, to the big house show (non tv event). That was my very first live pro wrestling event I attended. Long before I started working with UWE or any promotion, I continued to attend events in Michigan moving later to surrounding areas. Eventually, after I graduated high school, I ventured to many different states throughout the country to see a variety of Pay Per View events. I will touch on those in a future blog.

But I will always fondly remember the unique experience of my first live wrestling event. I had been a fan for about 3 years at that point. So this was something I had literally dreamed of for years, even at that young of an age. It surpassed my expectations and hooked me even deeper than I had previously been.

The 80's are a very sentimental time for me, personal faves along the way with my first WWF event is one reason why. What was your first event you attended? If you haven’t attended one, no better time to have your first experience than at UWE Headlock On Hunger. Saturday November 19 is our biggest show of the year. Purchase your tickets via the UWE Pro Wrestling website or in our facebook posts to experience UWE Live! Whether it’s your first event or not, you won’t be sorry you did!

Thanks for joining up with me again. Find me at the event and tell me your experience with your first live wrestling event. Look forward to chatting with you! Until next week.

God Bless!
